Women composers are often underrepresented or completely ignored. Sometimes, the excuse for this is that it is hard to find female composers.
In order to put an end to at least to this argument, I have collected women composer from around the world and throughout all times.
In the following spreadsheet, you shall find a complete list, holding currently 1350 women, and further thematic lists, with compositions according to the music form, as well as a comparison between the same music forms as used by women and men, and finally related sources.
I hope, this is a useful tool and I am always happy to find contributors. If you find a mistake or wish to add more details to this list, feel free to contact me.
